August | This bright August wedding at The Orchard featured a peach and cream floral palette with a breathtaking view of Mt. Hood. Our Signature planning support handled the coordination of guest amenities, pet logistics, and the transition from a scenic outdoor ceremony to a cozy barn reception.

The Orchard in Hood River has a way of capturing the very best of the Pacific Northwest. With its perfectly manicured lawns and sweeping views of Mt. Hood, it provides a backdrop that feels both expansive and deeply private. On this clear August afternoon, the venue was at its prime. The bright summer sky and the lush, green rows of the orchard created a vibrant, high energy atmosphere for a celebration that was as scenic as it is possible to get.
One of our favorite things about The Orchard is how the different spaces allow a wedding day to breathe and evolve. The ceremony took place on the lawn, where guests were greeted by the couple’s two white dogs, Kuma and Jackson, while enjoying a welcome glass of champagne. With parasols in hand to shade from the afternoon sun, everyone watched as the couple exchanged vows framed by a lush floral arch and the iconic peak of the mountain. Following the ceremony, the transition to cocktail hour was effortless, allowing guests to soak in the views before heading into the barn for a communal, family style dinner.
The design for the day was a beautiful nod to the peak of summer. The color palette focused on warm peaches and soft creams, which mirrored the late summer light. The florals were a highlight, featuring stunning dahlias and garden roses in varied shades of orange and blush. We loved how the aisle pieces were repurposed to the sweetheart table and how the barn was transformed with delicate greenery vines climbing the white walls. From the live acoustic music during the first dance to the flower petal toss at the recessional, every detail felt intentional and perfectly suited to the couple's style.
The couple worked with YPB through our Signature Package. This provided dedicated vendor management and day of coordination to ensure every logistical piece of the puzzle moved smoothly. Our team oversaw the movement of floral decor, managed the guest transportation schedule, and coordinated the unique elements like the dog handlers and the sunset photo session. Having our team on site meant the couple could focus entirely on their guests and the joy of the day, knowing that the timing and transitions were being handled with care.
This wedding was a perfect reflection of why we love Hood River in the summer. It was joyful, sun drenched, and full of life. The Orchard continues to be a standout location for couples who want to combine natural beauty with a polished, professional event flow.
