City Chic Never Looked So Good, Modern Urban Wedding at Irving Street Studio - McKenzie and Kyle
October | In the heart of Portland’s Pearl District, this Irving Street Studio wedding was all about romance with an edge! Raw industrial textures, striking architecture, and refined contemporary details came together for a celebration that was city-chic and beautifully urban.

A crisp black and white color palette established a modern, elevated aesthetic at Irving Street Studio for this autumn gathering. Designed to feel both sophisticated and relaxed, the atmosphere paired clean contemporary lines with warm, inviting details. Soaring timber ceilings, exposed brick walls, and polished concrete floors brought rich architectural texture to the monochromatic decor. Every visual choice highlighted a refined, timeless look that felt undeniably chic.
Set within the venue's open main hall, the ceremony design drew eyes upward to a massive white floral arrangement attached to the high industrial crossbars overhead. The natural light streaming through expansive warehouse windows created a soft, radiant halo around the couple as they exchanged vows. Clean wooden chairs flanked the aisle, allowing guests an unobstructed view while preserving the open, airy feel of the room. The venue's versatile layout allowed an intuitive progression from arrival directly into ceremony seating.
The reception brought an artistic twist to the dining design by alternating table configurations across the room. Round tables featured dramatic black tablecloths paired with white plates and black napkins, while long rectangular tables reversed the look with crisp white linens, black plates, and white napkins. Clusters of white florals in small vases and glowing pillar candles in glass chimneys added a soft, romantic touch across every tablescape. Guests enjoyed a lively evening on the dance floor before visiting a sweet dessert bar filled with cupcakes, cookies, and dessert bars.
