Silcox Hut is one of Mt. Hood’s most sought-after mountain wedding venues, especially for couples planning a micro wedding or elopement in Oregon. Set high above Timberline Lodge, the historic stone-and-timber hut offers an intimate lodge-style setting with exposed beams, a grand stone fireplace, and sweeping alpine views that feel immersive in every season—particularly in winter. With a limited guest capacity and unique mountain access, Silcox Hut is ideal for couples who want a celebration that feels intentional, experience-driven, and deeply connected to the surrounding landscape.

Sarah and Colin fully embraced the adventure that comes with a Silcox Hut wedding. Guests traveled up the mountain aboard the iconic red snowcats, arriving to fresh flurries, snow-chilled beers, and Cooper, their golden retriever, ready to greet guests and chase snowballs.

The entire day was inspired by the great Pacific Northwest, with warm lodge textures and a rich, earthy color palette that complemented the winter setting while keeping the space cozy and inviting. Romantic florals by Trellis Florals added romantic softness to the celebration, featuring hues of powdery pinks and toffee brown garden roses. Adventure-driven details were woven in thoughtfully, from snow-capped mountain table numbers to ski-pass–inspired place cards adding a personalized nod to the couple’s love for the great outdoors.

Sarah wore a timeless off-the-shoulder satin and lace gown, finished with delicate button details cascading down the back. The wedding party echoed the warmth of the design: groomsmen in navy tuxes with deep red ties, and bridesmaids in mix-and-match dresses in varied shades of wine, terracotta, and earthy reds—comfortable, effortless, and beautifully cohesive.

Between the fresh falling snow, an intimate guest list, and a setting that felt both rustic and elevated, this Silcox Hut wedding elopement was a true reflection of Sarah and Colin—romantic, intentional, adventurous, and undeniably Mt. Hood.
