September | This late-September wedding at The Griffin House blended colorful, vintage charm with a whimsical, fairy-like feel, all set against the sweeping views and sun-filled landscape of the Columbia River Gorge.

The Griffin House in the Columbia River Gorge was the perfect setting for this small, colorful, vintage-inspired wedding. With amazing gorge views, warm wood textures, and open green spaces, the venue naturally created a relaxed yet elevated feel. On this sunny late September day, the surrounding landscape added depth and warmth, letting the design feel grounded and organic without feeling overdone.
The overall aesthetic leaned whimsical and fairy-like, with fall-toned pastels woven throughout the florals and decor. Soft pinks, peaches, muted oranges and yellows, and warm neutrals paired beautifully with the venue’s weathered wood elements. One of our favorite aspects of this wedding was how the mix of worn textures and natural light elevated every detail, from the ceremony space to the reception setup.
Vintage touches played a big role in bringing personality to the day. Floral patterns appeared everywhere. On the signage, in decor accents, and even in the couple’s attire, including floral details on their shoes. The mix of mismatched glassware, layered wood tones, and thoughtfully chosen decor made the celebration feel curated but never overdone.
This couple chose YPB's Custom Signature package where they were able to make adjustments, add-ons, and customizations to their package as needed. YPB helped them with things such as vendor communication, and day-of coordination to ensure the couple didn't have to worry about a thing on their big day.
As the sun set, the celebration transitioned into a joyful, energetic evening. Colorful cakes and other desserts topped with wildflowers were a standout moment before their family and friends filled the dance floor and celebrated late into the night. This Griffin House wedding felt personal, creative, and full of life. Exactly the kind of day that shows how versatile and special this venue truly is.
