Who says you need a traditional wedding venue to create something extraordinary? With sweeping waterfront views, a lush garden ceremony, and an intimate candlelit reception, Georgie and Dave's Seattle backyard wedding was proof that sometimes the most meaningful place to celebrate is right at home.
We're big believers that weddings should feel personal, and private residence celebrations offer something especially wonderful: the freedom to create an experience entirely your own. Georgie and Dave embraced that spirit with an effortlessly elegant celebration that was a genuine, intimate garden party and sophisticated gathering.
An Intimate Garden Wedding with a View
With Elliot Bay as their backdrop, Georgie and Dave exchanged vows beneath an elegant wooden arbor adorned with lush white florals and greenery by Bond in Bloom. The understated ceremony design allowed the natural surroundings to shine, while soft neutral linens, delicate bud vases, and warm candlelight brought timeless elegance to their outdoor reception. As the sun began to set, guests gathered around beautiful bay-inspired tables overlooking the water, enjoying an intimate evening surrounded by their favorite people.
The Beauty (and Logistics!) of a Wedding at Home
We LOVE a private residence wedding, but here's something couples don't always realize: turning a home into a wedding venue requires a whole lot of behind-the-scenes planning.
Unlike traditional venues, private properties don't typically come equipped with dedicated event infrastructure. Everything from rental deliveries and catering access to parking, power requirements, floor plans, and guest flow needs to be thoughtfully considered.

Georgie and Dave chose our Signature Wedding Coordination Package and added an additional on-site walkthrough, something we especially recommend for private residence weddings. That extra time together allowed our team to evaluate the property, discuss the floor plan, plan loading and unloading areas, and consider how guests and vendors would move throughout the celebration.
It's these seemingly small details that make a tremendous difference in creating a seamless wedding-day experience.
