This July wedding at The Society Hotel was the perfect example of how simplicity can be incredibly impactful. Set in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, the day leaned into the venue’s natural wood tones, lush greenery, and wildflowers in bloom. With minimal decor and thoughtful details, the result felt elegant, organic, and full of personality.
The Society Hotel offers an abundance of beautiful spaces, and this couple made the most of them. Their ceremony took place in the Sanctuary, a serene setting that felt grounded and intimate without needing much added decor. The reception was held in the venue’s gymnasium, which was transformed with warm cafe lights and glowing tea light candles, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Guests also enjoyed exploring the property, from the courtyard and terrace to quiet moments in the library, each space offering stunning photo opportunities.
The couple embraced a “less is more” approach, allowing the venue to shine. Long reception tables encouraged a communal, relaxed feel and were styled with just a few lilies, scattered fruit, and candlelight. The tablescape felt natural, intentional, and effortlessly beautiful. An abundant charcuterie table became a highlight of the evening, offering guests a relaxed and delicious way to gather and connect.
The bride wore a simple satin wedding dress that perfectly matched the understated elegance of the day, while the groom opted for a classic black tux. The evening unfolded with dancing, laughter, and genuine joy, surrounded by family and friends.
