A 'Notebook-esque' canoe ride at golden hour, the PNW forest aglow with candlelight, and just the right amount of woodland whimsy. Allie and Sam's Bridal Veil Lakes wedding was a celebration we will forever having living in our heads rent free. Set among the towering evergreens of Oregon's Columbia River Gorge, their day paired cinematic romance with vintage-inspired details, warm autumnal florals, and an atmosphere oozing with elegance.
Romantic Florals & Whimsical Woodland Details
A warm, autumn-inspired palette of terracotta, soft peach, buttery yellow, and creamy ivory brought a romantic softness to the lush forest setting. Organic floral arrangements by Wendi Day complemented the surrounding greenery and lakeside ceremony views while vintage-inspired stationery, ornate accents, and thoughtfully curated details added layers of charm and personality. Allie's ethereal princess-like gown and Sam's tailored neutral suit perfectly captured the celebration's understated elegance. And those golden-hour canoe portraits by Naba Zabih Photography? MAGICAL.
An Enchanted Forest Dinner Party
As evening settled over Bridal Veil Lakes, the celebration transformed into an intimate, candlelit woodland reception. Long dining tables adorned with lush florals, warm candlelight, and layered details created an inviting atmosphere beneath the trees. Romantic and curated—you can never go wrong with rentals from Dash of Darling and Arden Event Collective.
Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner by Portland's beloved restaurant, Cheryl's on 12th, with a delightful assortment of desserts from Marsh & Mallow Co., Papa Haydn, and Nothing Bundt Cakes. From charming vintage accents to interactive sweet treats, the evening was filled with thoughtfully fun touches that made the celebration an absolute delight!
