A Wedding Full of Infectious Joy and Tail-Wags at Nordic Northwest - Amanda and David

August | This August wedding at Nordic Northwest featured a modern minimalist design with dusty blue and gold accents. Through our Signature planning package, we were able to coordinate a seamless transition from a magical tree-lined ceremony to a sophisticated Great Hall reception complete with a late-night noodle bar and adorable canine attendants.

Nordic Northwest in Portland is a hidden gem that offers a unique blend of natural woodland beauty and refined architectural style. On this bright August day, the sun peaked through the towering trees, casting a magical glow over the backyard lawn. The couple filled every moment with infectious laughter and life, making the summertime atmosphere feel even more vibrant under the clear blue Oregon skies.


One of the highlights of this venue is the effortless way the spaces work together. Although the styles differ, everything is located close together, creating a cohesive and easy flow for guests. The ceremony took place outdoors among the greenery, providing a lush and organic feel. As the celebration moved into the Great Hall for the reception, the mood shifted to something more classic and polished. The white linens and chairs paired beautifully with the warm wood tones of the hall, proving that nature and elegance can exist in perfect harmony.


The design stayed true to a clean, modern minimalist aesthetic with a palette of dusty blue, white, and gold. At the altar, a gold circular arch featured lush bunches of white florals and greenery, flanked by two elevated floral pillars that added a sophisticated touch to the garden setting. Inside, the reception tables were kept intentional and romantic, adorned with delicate bud vases and flickering tea lights. The evening was full of high-energy surprises, including an ice cream bar from The Mobile Scoop and a late-night instant noodle bar that was a massive hit with the crowd.


Of course, the most memorable guests were the couple's two dogs. Their golden retriever, Aria, served as the flower girl and carried a basket of petals in her mouth while wearing a custom floral collar. Their Australian shepherd, Ayce, looked handsome in a tiny suit and bowtie. The pups were everywhere, from the signature drink inspiration to the custom cake toppers, ensuring the day felt exactly like home.


The couple worked with YPB through our Signature Package. Our team stepped in to manage the timeline and vendor communications, providing the necessary support to ensure the couple could focus entirely on their joy. We loved seeing this day end with a high-energy dance floor and a whimsical bubble blower grand exit.
