This March wedding at the University Club of Portland was the perfect mix of classic elegance and warm, energetic celebration. With its historic charm and timeless interiors, the venue set the tone for a day that felt refined yet inviting. The rich architectural details and peaceful atmosphere made it an ideal setting for a wedding that leaned into moodiness while still feeling full of life.
The ceremony was especially memorable. The aisle was lined with glass vases filled with candles, creating a soft glow that instantly elevated the space and added a sense of romance. Florals featured pastel purples, light blues, and crisp whites, layered with plenty of greenery for texture and movement. The greenery tied beautifully into the emerald green bridesmaid dresses and the coordinating ties worn by the groomsmen, creating a cohesive style that felt intentional and elegant.
As the celebration moved into the reception, the venue transformed into a warm, candlelit space filled with energy. Tea light candles scattered throughout the room added to the intimate glow, while the historic setting provided a stunning backdrop for dinner and dancing. The couple’s vision was clear: a night filled with music, laughter, and time spent together, and the reception delivered exactly that.
One of our favorite details was the dessert bar, which featured an assortment of cheesecakes in different flavors, giving guests a fun and unique way to end the meal. The dance floor stayed busy all night, reflecting the couple’s priority of creating a celebration that felt joyful, lively, and unforgettable.
The couple worked with YPB through our Signature Package, which provided planning support leading up to the wedding along with day-of coordination. This allowed them to enjoy the process and stay fully present on their wedding day, knowing every detail was handled seamlessly.
