A Cozy Fall Forest Wedding at Skamania Lodge - Ashley and Ryan

October | This October wedding at Skamania Lodge embraced the richness of the Pacific Northwest in fall, blending rustic textures, warm autumn tones, and the natural beauty of the Columbia River Gorge.

Skamania Lodge is especially beautiful in October, when the surrounding forest turns into deeper hues and it feels quieter and more intimate. The venue set the tone for a fall wedding that felt grounded, warm, and very in touch with the PNW vibe. From the ceremony space to the reception areas, Skamania’s wood architecture and natural surroundings created an inviting backdrop that didn't need much else added to feel complete.


The couple leaned into the setting with a rustic, forest-inspired color palette of navy, rust, and orange, accented by natural wood textures and soft gold details. These tones mirrored the season beautifully and felt right at home against the lodge’s timber beams and mountain scenery. Floral arrangements featured rust-colored roses, white baby’s breath, and layered textures of maroon, blue, and deep purple blooms, adding depth without feeling too overpowering.


One of the things we loved most was how the design stayed relaxed and guest-focused. Olive oil and a spicy sriracha-style sauce made for thoughtful, personal favors, and mini bundt cakes were a big hit. These small details fit seamlessly into the overall atmosphere.


The couple worked with YPB through our Signature Package, which allowed us to step in with planning support and day-of coordination. From managing timelines to ensuring vendor communication and smooth transitions throughout the day, our role was to let the couple stay present and enjoy the experience while everything ran seamlessly behind the scenes.


This Skamania Lodge wedding was a perfect example of how the venue shines in the fall. Natural, scenic, and ideal for couples who want their celebration to feel connected to the forest, the season, and the people they love most.
