There are fall weddings—and then there’s October in the Columbia River Gorge. Anne and Aaron’s wedding at The Griffin House brought together sweeping Gorge views, abundant autumn florals, warm candlelight, layers of greenery, and a reception that practically glowed from the inside out.

Their ceremony took place tucked into the property’s historic stone garden, with the Columbia River and mountains stretching out behind them. Florals in persimmon, marigold, rust, wine, peach, and unexpected touches of soft lavender felt like an extension of the changing landscape rather than something placed on top of it. Even the entrance set the tone: a custom illustrated welcome banner paired with strands of bright orange marigolds greeted guests as they arrived.

Inside the reception tent, the design became even more immersive. Long wooden tables were filled with loose, garden-inspired florals, taper candles, crystal glassware, warm gold details, and framed table markers inspired by the couple’s travels. Overhead, masses of fresh greenery transformed the clear-top tent, while a collection of woven pendants, amber glass fixtures, exposed bulbs, and string lights created a warm canopy of light. It was lush without feeling formal, colorful without losing its romance, and perfectly at home in the Gorge.

And this wedding was about so much more than creating a beautiful room.

Anne and Aaron chose our Ultimate Full-Service Planning Package, which meant we were with them for the big-picture vision and the hundreds of decisions and moving pieces required to bring an entire wedding weekend together. We developed the design, sourced and managed vendors, built and tracked the budget, handled vendor communication, managed hotel room blocks, created their wedding website, planned auxiliary celebrations, coordinated logistics, and carried everything through the wedding weekend itself.

Full-service planning is not simply choosing pretty things or booking great vendors. It’s having someone hold the complete picture—from what your guests see when they first open your wedding website to where they stay, how each celebration flows, what hangs above the dance floor, when every vendor arrives, and how all of those individual choices ultimately feel like one wedding, one experience, and one unmistakably personal world.

Anne and Aaron got to arrive in the Gorge and actually live inside the weekend we had spent months building together. And really, that’s the point.

Behind every beautiful wedding is a talented team of people - see The Vendor Team who made this day a reality at the end of the gallery.
