Megan and Dejene's Wedding at the West End Theater
February 25, 2014
It’s February, and with two events already under our belts for 2014, we can't help but feel time is rushing by us like a freight train. Before things get too busy this wedding season, we want to do a look back through some of our favorite weddings of 2013 and share some of the tips that made those weddings so super fabulous!
We loved so much about this wedding; the couple, their families, the beautiful color palette. It was a beautiful, and heartfelt day, everything a wedding should be. The tips future brides can steal from Megan and Dejene are:
Incorporate traditional elements.
Megan and Dejene were very thoughtful in how the incorporated Dejene’s Ethiopian heritage. One of the smaller ways we incorporated his back ground was by using eucalyptus in their ceremony floral. Your Perfect Blossoms wrapped the eucalyptus around the candle holders that flanked their aisle and their “altar” area. It was beautiful, fragrant and meaningful.
Megan has a beautiful daughter and the three of them were so close and loving with each other. Both Megan and Dejene were thoughtful in how they included Amelia into the ceremony and they made sure she felt special throughout the day.
Make Goodwill your friend.
Megan had a clear vision for her flowers, she wanted a very soft, romantic look that was just perfect for their venue; The West End Ballroom. Instead of renting, Megan collected many beautiful vases from goodwill and other thrift stores. The look was very romantic and very affordable.
Lean on each other.
Regardless of how well things are planned, there is always stress surrounding a wedding. Megan and Dejene did such a great job leaning on each other for support to get past those stressful moments. When things get chaotic, don’t forget to support each other. Be each other’s biggest cheerleader, and support system.
